Peridot

Peridot is a variety of olivine of yellowish green to brownish green color. The oldest peridot mines date back to ancient Egyptian times on what is now called St. John’s Island. In recent times, the best peridot material has come from Burma (Myanmar) and Pakistan. More commercial qualities and smaller sizes come from Chinese mines today.
